Real Estate Listing Requirements

This is a brief list of the documentation and process you Will be asked to fulfill when you´d like to list your property for sale with a Broker in México.

IF MORE THAN ONE OWNER, EACH OWNER MUST PROVIDE THE FULL LIST OF DOCUMENTS.
  • Seller´s whole legal name. Same as in a passport.
  • Scan of the passport.
  • Scan of a valid ID with address and picture.
  • Country / State / City / Address where you currently live.
  • Cell phone & Work phone / Home phone.
  • Email address.

Of the Property

  • Escritura or Fideicomiso (hard copy).
  • The price analysis and estimated price are to be asked for or quoted based on the property to be listed, plus three others in the area, with the same or similar conditions to the property to be sold. (Your broker should be able to help with this analysis).
  • Predial tax. paid as for the year going by.
  • Utility bills. paid as the current month.

As for the broker.

Ensure you have a signed agreement with all time frames, commissions, and boundaries written. As the client, you will always have the right to stop the relationship if the convened agreements are not fulfilled. Understand also that the broker needs to be sure that your property is listed as exclusive due to the expenses and time invested in advertising and doing the proper marketing. Use MLS and share the listing with all brokers and other means available to ensure faster property selling.

  • Listing agreement signed by all parties.
  • Privacy Notice and Consumer rights letters
  • List of means and marketing formulas to be used to advertise.
  • Commissions to be collected and minimum price to be sold.
